We Will Be What We Will To Be
Temporary change is not the same as transformation

“We will be what we will to be.” I heard these words recently and have been thinking about them ever since. I don’t know who originally said them, but they were surely wise. For now, more than ever before, I am learning how much willpower has to do with true change.
Why do we want anything? Answer: because of how we believe it will make us feel.
So how do we get everything? Answer: by living in the feelings and actions as if we already have them.
This is simple enough in theory, but for most people, myself included, rather difficult in practice.
Because this way of life requires us to essentially abandon our senses and live in our imagination. By ignoring the reality that we perceive — poor health, money problems, unhealthy relationships, etc. — and instead living in and from a place of gratitude, joy, love and success, we raise our vibration to that of the life we desire.
And the law of attraction says that which is likened to itself is drawn, thereby guaranteeing our wishes will be fulfilled.
But it’s not always easy to visualise and feel our desired reality, let alone act from that place, when “what is” is so far from it.
And this is where willpower comes in.
For success will ultimately be determined by whether or not we can hold the vision of our desires in spite of our perceived reality.
Success will be determined not by what we want to have, but who we need to be in order to have it.
It is not enough to visualise our desired future for a while. It is not enough to feel what that future would be like at times. It is not enough to take inspired action from time to time. Temporary change is easy. Transformation is something else.
Transformation requires a deep level of self-awareness. It requires self-belief. It requires unwavering willpower.
And this is why so many people end up unhealthy, unhappy, and feeling unfulfilled. Because they give up.
If we can learn how to shape our environment as opposed to allowing our environment to shape us, our lives will change.
To transform, we must hold the vision. We must live from and as our future selves. And we can if we will it enough.
We will be what we will to be.
We are the genie in the lamp.
Wherever you are on your journey, always remember that YOU ARE ENOUGH.
